This year I had Cheerleaders on board and it made the day even brighter.
The month was a busy one and I got to meet some great new customers all the way in from California and some great returning customers. Spent an incredible Father's day out with One Dad and his three boys......
Be sure to check out the photos from the month in the Pictures album
and the awesome video on the home page filmed by my good friend Ryan.
So here's how the fishing has been...
The Lake Lanier Striper Fishing the past few weeks has been excellent and will only get even better as we transition fully into the summer time pattern.
If you can find the fish in the morning you are in for an exciting time.
The Stripers are schooling up nicely everywhere shallow in 20 –30 feet of water and even deep in 50-70 feet of water on deep points/humps, bays off the river channel, and creek mouths. Down-lined herring 30-40 ft. has worked best.
This time of year you will want to change bait every 15 to 20 minutes due to the warmer water the bait won’t live as long and when fishing down lines during the summer, fresh bait is the key. There is also an Umbrella rig bite which has landed me tons of extra fish. When pulling into a pocket looking for fish I’ve been putting out umbrella rigs 80 to 100 ft. back and pull between 2.7 to 3.5 MPH as I look around...... So get out there and get fishing.
Remember if you need help just book a trip for a learning lesson.......
