Fishing has been good. We have been catching good fish in the back of creeks with flat lines and planer boards. We have been running flat lines lightly weighted 100ft back and planer boards 50 ft back at .9 mph.
After the heavy rains the back of the creeks were heavily stained so we moved to mid creek and worked the open water and points. We found heavy bait balls between 40-60ft deep with fish breaking up through the bait. We caught a few Stripers on trout that had a mouths full of thread fins.
With the creeks stained, we also have had good success with Captain Mack's umbrella rigs on points mid creeks and in the main channels.
When the sun is high, try downlines 30-36ft over bait at the bottom. When it is overcast run plainer boards and flat lines. And as always, watch the birds! If you see them diving head over and try umbrella rigs through the birds or cast for any fish on top.
Have a safe holiday and see you all next year!
