The Stripers are have moved to the main lake pockets and are schooling up nicely in 30-70 feet of water, down-lines with a 7 to 8ft leader of 12 or 10 pound fluorocarbon with blue back herring fished 25-40 ft. down has worked best.
On most trips we have been going through 4-5 dozen bait. This time of year you will want to change bait every 15 to 20mins do to the warmer water the bait won’t live as long and when fishing down lines during the summer fresh bait is the key. Over the past week we have seen more and more bait moving out over the deeper water and easy summer time fishing should be right around the corner with lead core.
Below are a few of the fish we caught over the past few weeks. Have a safe 4th of July and see you at the Cumming Parade!
