Striper fishing is very good as the summer time pattern is in full swing. The morning bite is slow but the afternoon bite is the way to go.
The fish in the afternoon are very active and loaded up in the creek and river channels holding in 80- 120ft bottom over the tops of trees. Trolling lead core line back 7 to 8 colors has been the most productive technique and the easiest. Tip your lead core with 30 to 40 feet of 20 pound fluorocarbon line and 1-1/2oz
Castaway Baits buck tail jig with a 4 inch shad body in white or chartreuse. When trolling if you find a school of 10 or more fish you can stop and fish herring on a down line. It has been working very well if you can find the school of fish again
