Lake Lanier Striper fishing continues to be good. The morning bite and last lite byte is great! We have been pulling free-line herring on planer boards around slick drop offs on the main lake channels with great success. While the size of the fish are smaller than earlier this spring we have had days of 8 plus fish when you hit the time and place just right.
Later in the day, when the sun is overhead, you may want to switch to down lined bait 30ft down or try umbrella rigs 70-80 feet behind the boat @ 2.5-3.1 mph.
I have been busy with trips all week, below is a sampling of fish we caught over the past 4 days.
