We have been fish two planner boards on each side of the boat (4 total) with the bait 30ft behind the boards and also flat lines non- weighted 75 to 85 ft behind the boat. Or, we have switched it up with two weighted lines 10 to 15ft below a float or balloon fished 80 to 100ft from the back of the boat.
Late afternoon has been the most effective time to grab a few Stripers. The Stripers have been around the mouths to middle of the creeks off clay points, and rocky points. If you head out and all you get are a few monsters fish swirling on your bait don’t be discouraged. This time of year you just have to keep pulling and putting the time in on your favorite spots to get that trophy that Lake Lanier is known for this time of year.
If you have any questions or you want to book a trip send me an e-mail or give me a call. Fishing will only pick up from here.
